How I started design
In my first design project, I created web applications for local nonprofits. Meeting with these local organizations and learning how they serve their communities, I felt inspired by their stories and saw how my skills could expedite their workflows and relieve their pain points.
Volunteering with the nonprofits we worked with made their mission and work even more personal to me. I saw firsthand how our applications were used for volunteer tracking and inventory documentation.
After completing a few projects, I strived to build up this small community so that others could get the same experience and mentorship I was lucky to receive through leadership. Weekly critiques bolstered the dynamic for back-and-forth feedback, and each designer’s background drew out a unique perspective. My growing love for not only impactful design, but fostering a community of designers has shaped the rest of my goals and direction.
What's Next?
Currently, I’m studying the human centered design at Berkeley. Working with LLMs to 3D modeling, I'm get to experiment with new tools and systems!
I’m excited to create tools for users through scalable and data-informed design. I look for a balance of autonomy and collaboration to be able to grow not only my own skills, but also together as a team.
